About our course
Our 12 week vocational placement is designed to build your confidence and employability skills in a supportive, real world setting.
Sessions are tailored to your goals and availability, and may include:
• Work experience
• Community activities
• Progress reviews
• Employability skills sessions
You will also have access to coaching, mentoring and occupational therapy throughout your placement. Together, we will create a plan for your next steps, whether that is employment, volunteering, education or connecting with local services.
We will check in with you at 3, 6 and 12 months after completion to offer continued support and gather feedback to help us keep improving the programme.
What you will be doing
Work Experience
Get experience in a real workplace. Your sessions are planned just for you and slowly increase over 12 weeks as your confidence, skills and energy grow.
Community Activities
Make new connections and grow your confidence by joining community activities. You might start with Flourish groups like gardening or crafts, then look at other activities in your local area that match your interests.
Progress Sessions
Meet each week to talk about how things are going. You can review your plan, ask questions and get ready for the week ahead.
Work and Employability Skills
Learn the important skills you need for a job. These sessions help you understand what you are good at, where you can improve and how to take your next steps.
Your team
You will be supported all the way by our friendly team: Pathway Coaches Glynis and Lola, Mentors Andy and Ezgi, and our Occupational Therapist, Donna.
We understand that starting work can feel big and sometimes a little scary. We are here to listen, give advice and help you reach your goals.
Together, we will make a simple action plan that fits you. We will help you find work experience that matches what you want to do and look for support and opportunities in your local area.
